No Clutch Tension?

Howwwddy ho!

I got my engine back together after doing some motor work, now I have no tension at all on the "clutch cam shaft". I did no work on my actual clutch or anything that had to do with it....could it just be due to the complete lack of oil? (bike is sitting bone-dry still getting put back together) Since the clutch is all pushrod/spring/cam operated, combined with the fact that I didn't touch any of that...I'm confused.

Thanks for any tips.

you need to have the clutch arm on the spline located in the correct position

Have a look at the Tech article in the FAQ..

How is the clutch itself activated?

It was written specifically in response to this question..

Well I'm embarrassed.

That's all it was... once I put the arm on there I realized it just needed more pressure to move...doh. Thanks guys.
