Nissan Rogue...

Just got a 11' Nissan Rogue and a 05' CRF230. I want to get a hitch installed on the Nissan Rouge so I can use a hitch carrier from these guys:

Have any of you put a hitch carrier on a Nissan Rogue or similar class vehicle? Is it too much of a load? Does it work?

Any feedback would be great. Also, if any of you have a recommendation on what type of hitch I should be buy that would be greatly appreciated as well.

You wont be able to get a class 3 hitch for a Nissan rouge.

So there are many people who do produce class 3 hitches for the Rogue but would using a hitch carrier on the Rogue damage it?

yeah that is not going to go well, that car with 240lb tongue weight........ if you do it, please post pics LOL. Seriously i have a pontiac vibe and tow. Get a hitch and get a small trailer.

I spent hours looking at my options if I was going to get away from a truck

Small SUVs are not a good choice for bike ramps, but I've seen some doing it

I've seen larger SUV (usually with 6 cyl engine) and it was OK

Get a trailer like mine and be done

Harbor Freight 4x8 with 12" wheels and a few hours of mods

Works great and very easy to load the bike (using my Fly ramp)

It gets the job done : taking me to the track and not spending a fortune on gas

I guess I'm cheap, I'm riding a smoker

Last WE I saw a Scion TC with a trailer (landscaping type) with two 450 quads (standing vertically of course). These 2 kids were motivated.....

I have that same trailer. Is that unsupported plywood extended off the back? Looks like the wheel is sitting past the back frame rail.

Yes, the rear is unsupported but nothing to worry

Most of the bike's weight is on the front and center

I don't have to step on the trailer when loading and when unloading I step out of the trailer just at the rear beam level

I don't put all my weight on the back edge of the platform (even if it can withstand it, i tried)
