First time; DIY Fork Service.

Well, with an experienced friend for expert advice & moral support (John) I finally sucked it up and serviced the forks myself (98 RM forks, setup for my DRZ).

It was much easier than I expected. Hell, even the new seals appear to be ... sealing. Everything went as I kind of expected; aside from a minor assembly error that resulted in about $5+ of precious synthetic fork oil making a prompt exit from the bottom of a fork leg (and onto the garage floor ).

But, aside from that small puddle, this job was all about having the right tools on hand, a manual, a clean workspace, and a good plan for general "mess management". I had the first three covered.

Oh ya, if you have a "John" bring him, as well .
