Valving from Star-Trek

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just finished one spare shock I have with a strange valving, all in hope to be able to use thicker oil. The wife put a hold on oil orders and was downright scandalized at the price tag on my shock oil. I have tried using a bleed on both sides so i can use thicker oil. See the check plates with 16mm o.d. shim acting like a pivot for the next shim with 16mm i.d. I should be able to try it next weekend.

Very interesting valve stack . I have seen some used like this.

I us Motorex SD1 in the shocks , but what oil are you trying. I would suggest you try some synthetic ATF . It usis a good substitute and is fairly inexpensive.
