Two Brothers exhaust

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a 2006 Kawasaki KX450F with a two brothers V.A.L.E. slip on exhaust. It has a carbon fiber can, polished stainless mid pipe, and the stock ti header pipe. The header pipe and mid pipe are a "slip fit" and does not use any type of clamp. There is a little slop between the two pipes and when the pipe is wet you can see there is a little bit of a leak. The last owner tried to seal it with some type of fiberglass exhaust tape that didn't work. Two Brothers says this slip fit is suppossed to be the only way needed to seal it, however I obviousley need to do something else. Has anyone encountered this problem or does anyone have an idea on fixing this? Also does anyone know of a good pipe guard that will work with the stock header pipe? Any help is appreciated.

My FMF does not have much slop between the pipes. I use the high temp RTV silicon. Works great.

i used an oem exhaust gasket and stretched it out to fit my two brothers slip onto my fmf power bomb, then clamped it with two HD hose clamps(tried to use oem clamp but it didn't clamp down enough). works great so far and no slop
