California Spring run in the POKER RUN FUN - 4th Annual!!!!!

Recommended Posts

May 28 - We'll all meet at the Alta Vista Rancho (138th & Proctor) for another POKER RUN FUN The Spring Ride across our great desert. The course this time is heading East to parts not usually traveled or known by most desert rats. It's a great ride, and you and your family and friends will have a great time. POKER RUN FUN starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and the last vehicle will leave no later than 12:30 p.m.

We also have GPS files for those who wish to use it to run the course. The entire loop is marked with ribbon, arrows and signs.

For those using GPS, we also plan on hiding at least 5 spots where you can win special prizes. If you wish to play for cash, pay a separate entry - $10-100% payback of the cash purse.

$10 for regular entries (per vehicle) and $10 FOR EACH CASH HAND. You can play multiple hands. Everyone MUST sign a "Liability Release" form, including minors.

Check the flyer at this link: http://www.altavistaevents.com/Pages/PokerFunRun/PRF2011/2011PRF1/11prf1Information.html

      Hey all,
I'm looking at buying a 2004 Suzuki DRZ400EK or at least I think it's an EK according to Vin lookup websites, but it does not appear to have a kickstarter. I was told the bike was owned by a motorcycle dealer and that it has a current green sticker, and a California license plate but has not been registered for the streets since 2011. I want this as a dual sport but am not clear if the fact that it already has a plate means I am good to register it or if maybe they took away the ability to register it after it was plated, California loves to do that kind of stuff. Since the bike was owned by a dealer I would think they were up on the latest regulations in California, but who knows. Can anyone add any insight as to what I should look for on the bike itself like the carburetor, model numbers etc? Or do I just try my luck at the DMV?

Both of my sons have taken this class and I cannot say enough great things about it and the instructors. They really give the kids the tools and techniques to be successful and confident.
