simple bolt on? or minor tweak?

did anyone have to do any mods to their bikes after getting the 295 kit ...think hard. before you could put any plastics on or put the rest of the bike together...

I cannot think of anything I had to do. The head gasket is different, but everything else is stock....stock with a big hole in the cylinder.

Possibly will need a few minor jetting tweaks, but the cylinder is a bolt on.. And a good addition to ANY YZ250

yall didnt have to mod your head stay brackets

There would be no reason that's needed, the exterior of the engine is exactly the same.

No mods needed with mine. I suppose one could say it moved slightly with the metal head gasket, but if it did, it was not enough to throw off alignment.

On the older, steel framed bikes frame stretch sometimes shows up in this area.

Stretched frame? How hard do you ride the bike?

I had a 1989 RM250 in 1995 that would crack the back of the cylinder because the frame was stretching so much. All the years of jumping and hitting whoops were too much for the stock frame.
