Hey guys, recently got a 2009 CRF450 a couple months ago, stepping up from a 2009 KX250F. I've had another CRF450r (a 2006), so I'm not new to the big bikes (but fuel injection, yes). I took it to an indoor track nearby and had absolutely no complaints about it, the F.I is beautiful. Since I've only ridden the thing approx four short times since now and started it a handful of times during winter, I didn't get around to changing the oil on it. I'm on another Canadian forum and guys are telling me there's design flaws with the fuel injection, allowing some gas to flow where it's not supposed to...I guess it's somewhat true since other owners of the same model tell me they've had problems as well. They also told me not to revv the bike idling like a dunce (which I never did to begin with). Anybody who have this bike have any similar problems? What preventative maintenance on top of regular stuff should I do to prevent issues with my motor?
