Bike Dies at 8.5k RPM

Hi guys, i've recently got my CDI and stator coil changed.

After changing, It seems to me that at about 8.5-9k rpm, the bike dies.

I didn't have a problem with the stock CDI.

The mechanic seem to have given me a procom CDI. Could the procom CDI be the problem? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

pro comm are junk. that is your issue.
