computer/speedometer

Does anyone have a trail tech computer? I have an 08 KTM 450 xcf that is street legal. I was going to buy an hour meter to keep track of oil changes, suspension oil, etc. But I ran across trail tech vapor and vector that are pretty cheap. Just need to buy a mounting kit too.

How hard are they to install and how good are they before I spend the money?

I thought the XCF came with a KTM computer

The Vapor is great. I have one myself, you will love it!

PS

Very easy to install, the only time consuming part is taking the tank and seat off to route the wires cleanly.

cool, thanks!

I have the new Trail Tech Striker computer. I would highly recommend it. I like it because it has an engine temperature gauge and it's just nice to get a heads up before you boil over instead of after the fact. It was pretty easy to install if you get the dashboard to mount it. I would say that installation takes 3 hrs...

Funny you should ask, I just installed a striker tonight and it took 60 to 90 minutes.

If you can change oil and do basic dirt bike repairs then the install of this unit will be a breeze.

Trail Tech nailed it on this one.

Just installed on my new 250 xc. I put this off because i was too lazy to do the work to install it but it is so easy there were no surprises or quirks, even cutting the radiator crossover was quick and easy.

big display that is easy to read in a normal sitting position.

outside and engine temp + volts is really slick

Computer sits below number plate and is well protected

warning lights for volts and engine temp.

Trail Tech even programmed in my current mileage and hours so it will be accurate.

the '09 xc has no odometer from the factory so this is really nice.

I just installed a vapor on my xr. I like it super easy to install. I like the layout of that striker. Looks a little easer to read plus i like the volt meter.
