(quote from above link)

"If you install an extended idle mixture screw, you will need to change the pilot jet only because the aftermarket screw is shaped differently on the end which affects how much fuel flows through the circuit it controls"

(end quote)

Just when I thought I had all the info gathered and jet #s down I read the above quote.Confused again I have to ask does a special pilot jet need to be used with the keintech extended screw?

Eddie said to keep the stock pilot and get the extended screw on my 05 drz 400s

yep,correct.

the reference relates to the usual swap to a 25 pilot jet. that is correct for the stock fuel screw but not the extended screw.

when in doubt you should rely on what i type.

thats where the info comes from originally. its gets misinterpreted after it gets talked about thousands of times.
