Recommended Posts

I recently bought a 2002 crf450r. I've been looking at the dr.d full exhaust system for it. im looking for something very loud and i was wondering if thats a good choice(will this also be louder than the stock exhaust?)? I also wanted to know if i have to rejet the bike if I install the full exhaust? anyone that can help. thank you

lots of people run them out here. we're at about 5000ft, and the pipe is great. if you're at sea level, dr. d has jet specs on the website, or call them.

What an idiot! I shouldn't even give this guy the time of day for wanting a loud pipe! Just put stickers on your bike you moron if you wä loud and by the way, you'll be faster with the stickers on your bike as well!

Some people are under the illusion that if our bikes are quiet the tree people will love us.

Personally I think its a pretext (noise) to legislate the behavior or come up with some new tax.

But loud pipes arent "in"

Dr. D's pipes are actually pretty quiet. If you want loud, just take the rivets out of the core and run the can wide open...LOUD ENOUGH FOR YA?....I SAID IS THAT LOUD ENOUGH FOR YOU....iS IT....never mind

Haha!!!

FWIW, I run a HMF silencer/stock header setup on my '04 and I can tell you it is a lot louder than stock! That wasn't my intention, i just like HMF for their performance, and their warranty. But, the noise is a plus for me. 90% of my riding is on a track. The 10% that isn't...oh well, tree huggers!

Right on.....my suggestion is to just remove the muffler completely....it will be much louder and just think of the weight savings!

I started my 450 once with my muffler removed. Was just the header and the up-pipe to the can. Loud doesn't really describe it.
