namura brand gaskets

Recommended Posts

anyone have any experience with Namura brand gaskets?

i ordered 94 mm cometic brand off ebay & was sent namura.

there probably fine. but i have no experience with them.

i just wish when a sellers ad states cometic, they would send cometic.

i think i'm done with ebay.

I used them on a big bore 400ex high comp build and had no issues with them. I even used their valve seals, with no smoking issues as well.

i think the ' namura ' brand name scares some people , myself included .

i ordered a new 94mm cylinder off e bay and received a namura which i am too scared to install

lol...we're scared of that which we do not know...or something like that.

i've used cometic. they've been around forever, etc.. no problems.

never used namura.

If i remember right, you already had an issue with your gasket, so i don't think Namura's gaskets are the best replacement.

I use Namura's cylinder with no problem so far, but i wouldn't use their

gaskets.

If the seller said Cosmetic and sent you Namura, contact with him to send you the right ones, fill an issue on ebay or paypal. You'll find your right!

thanks everybody

i did contact the seller with no response yet.

the ad clearly states "cometic".

as a matter of fact, i searched "drz400 cometic 94" to find the damn things...

if i had heard some good things here, i may have tried them.

but since i bought 2 sets, there going back for cometic.

i went thru the same thing with this seller a year or two ago with a big bore kit sold as cylinder works, but was actually a namura cylinder.

the kick in the ass is the buyer usually pays return shipping.

try to save a few $ winds up costing me more $ & time.

add to that the fact that i still haven't seen the ims 2.6 tank i oredered 3/11 and i'm done with ebay.

EDIT: seller just contacted me stating sorry, he will replace & refund shipping costs. YEAH!
