yz 125 shift seal leaking

My 99 is leaking oil from the shifter seal so I replaced the seal and its still doing it? I'm unsure what to do at this point

I would try another new seal and a new shift shaft. Maybe the old one has a burr on it, or it's worn where it meets the seal. Oil the outside of the new shaft so it doesn't disrupt the new seal going in.

I was thinking about a new seal and some good permatex but that might not be the best idea. The shaft seems to have alittle. Bit of play but I thought it was normal

Anybody fix this problem? Seems like people have had this happen but there's not solid fix?

As a fix try to find a seal with a smaller diameter and use the spring of it on your replacement seal. That should do the trick.
