2006 DRZ 400S dies when I hit the throttle.

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone, so I'm needing a few tips. I recently picked up a 2006 DRZ 400S and I'm having some issues with it stalling out (dieing pretty much) every time I give a quick rev of the engine or get on the throttle quickly. I have to rev it up slowly so it doesn't cut off.

OK, so what I know is that it has the 3x3 mod nicely done, DynoJet Stage 1 kit (not sure which jets were used), and the stock exhaust. Any ideas? Is too much fuel being dumped in the carb so it stalls out?

I plan on putting the full Yosh RS-2 exhaust on and either installing the DynoJet Stage 2 or changing to JD. Will this help?

Thanks in advance for they help.
