ktm 150

Recommended Posts

if he is big and heavy....maybe a CRF150r...small wheel or big wheel (again if he's tall). Even that bike (either model) are really ment for a well seasoned older rider. You should go down to the cycle shop and have him sit a on few and lean towards a "non-race" versions if he is a beginner.

KTM 105 id say.

if hes that quick he should be able to handle the 105 and it will have much more pull than anything ull get before a full sized bike. he will have to race I think its Open mini, or Senior Mini with this one though, if hes podiuming in the 65s though he should do ok.

hes coming off a 65cc ktm,.

hes quick

a grade local track

averages a podium.

not always a win

but has had a few

quick for his age and size

I agree with the post above stating the this bike is too much for an 8 y/o no matter how big or how good he may ride. If you move you child too quickly to larger bikes they will get hurt, not become better, this is from experience. The a KX 85, YZ85, KTM 85 or possibly a KTM 105, KX100, all would be better choices. Get the suspension done for his weight and ability, then look at the motor. The KTM 105 has the best stock engine and suspension.
