CRF-R Front Master Cylinder Install

Recommended Posts

I just installed a 2011 R Front Brake Master Cylinder on my 08x and wow what a difference. Im have been running a stock front caliper and master cylinder with a steel braided brake line. The brake line made a small improvement. Huge braking gains now with the front master cylinder. Great improvement.

How much did that run ya? I have been unhappy with my brakes for quite a while. I bought a larger rotor and the SS brake line.

I bought mine new but dont pay retail. I get a really good discount. Thank God. There is one on ebay right now. I thought about getting this one (link below), but I only paid a little more for new. The 08 - 09 are the same and the 10 - 11 have a different model number. I dont know the difference but since i was buying it new, i got a 11.

If you get one make sure its 08 or newer. Here is a good write up about the new R front master cylinder.

What brand and size oversixed rotor did you get. Im thinking about getting a 280mm from CRF Stuff.
