When people swap front fenders do they retain the brake cable bracket?

And drill a hole in the new fender for it?

Or do most people just bend it off and toss it?

Seems like Suzuki put in there for a reason, no?

Anyone?

I would be inclined to say that you should retain the bracket....

I kept it

Are you thinking about the speedo cable guide? The brake cable guide doesn't attach to the fender.

Yes, the one that has a silver wire bracket that holds it onto the fender with a Phillip's head screw.

I replaced my front fender and it didn't have any brackets on it at all.

Are you talking about the white slider bracket? If you are its not touched when replacing the fender.

Nevermind. I already drilled the hole and put it on the new fender.

should have waited for some replies then.

just take it off anyway. it will look better with a small hole than the silly bracket and i can't see how you will ever get it caught on anything. i don't have one on mine.
