rm reeds in my rmx???

hi guys, i was thinking of getting some vforce3 reeds for my rmx, will the rm 96-97 reeds fit my 97 rmx, and are they worth it? Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks

No - they are different intakes.

I've used both their II and III versions, along with stock, and Boyesen Rad valve. It all depends upon what you want. There's not much difference between them all.

The first takes some of the snap out of the transition when the exhaust valves open and provide somewhat thicker lower-RPM power up to that point. You have to cut off part of your manifold, so they are not fully reversible should you decide to go back.

The Boyesen seems thicker in the mid and upper RPMs. It is a complete replacement manifold.

The stock reeds are not bad. You might want to try Boyesen reeds instead - less money - I haven't so I cannot say if they are an improvement to your liking or not.

I personally would not bother changing out the reed block, just install a set of Boyesen Pro Series reeds. They will make your RMX sing and you will not have the jetting issues that changing over to a vForce or RAD valve will cause.

My 2 cents.
