Will a 300-16 tire fit?

Recommended Posts

I picked up a classic Kawasaki KM100 and the tire size is 300-14 (as listed in the manual and on the current 36 year old tire). My question is would I be able to fit a 300-16 tire? Whats the difference anyway? I found a nice bridgestone 300-16 tire at Cycle Gear locally but they don't have it in size 300-14. Thanks guys!

Just a wild guess, but one is a 14 inch rim, while the other is a 16 inch rim ??

I could be completely wrong..

That's right.

No, that tire will not fit. That's a 3 inch wide by 14 inch rim tire.

12 bucks: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cheng-Shin-C-183A-Dirt-Tire-3-00-x-14-/290569690433?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a74d9d41
