2001 gasgas info?

Recommended Posts

The gasgas 125 is a gasgas engine, but it uses yz125 pistons, a yz125 rod, a cr125 clutch, yz125 front sprocket. I believe the engine design is very similar to the yz/cr engine.

The whole rear end, sub frame, is off 94-98 kx's I believe, so kx plates from that era should go straight on.

Lots more info if you want to find it here http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/index.php

This is a ec125?

uses a yz125 engine?

where can one buy the # plates?

?

Sounds like a deal. If it was local I would probably buy it!!!! Some friends and I have played with getting 125's to haul our fat butts around for fun. This would be perfect.

also, is this an 01, and what model

so the swingarm and rear wheel is kx as well?

Is the power more enduro like, or mx like on this bike... so more like a ktm 250exc or like a 250sx

is there a lowering link?

Its an EC125 if it has a 18inch rear wheel, or a MC125 if it has a 19inch rear wheel, early 2000s, probably 01. EC is the enduro model, MC is the motorcross version, however the MC is the same as the EC except for a slightly higher compression head and different gearbox ratios.

Power is definitely more enduro like, but its still a 125 so dont expect a tractor.

What I meant by back end was subframe and plastics, I dont know if the swingarm fits, but have heard that the wheel can be adapted to fit, with spacers etc.

Conrod is the same as a 86-96 yz 125.

Cant remember the exact yz year for piston, but its on the gasgas rider site somewhere

Those panels should fit, if you google image for 2001 gasgas and compare they look the same.

There are lowering links around, heres an example of some http://gofasters.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_94&products_id=6327

Hey Mark Did you buy that 200 from the guy up in BC how do you like it? Dusty

nope, the guy in bc actually had my old bike i do believe. I had 2 of these... one with ohlins one without. I spun the crank bearing on the old 1 and pawned it off to the fella in bc, who I assumed fixed it up and resold it.

I love my 200.. I've had a ton of bikes and that is a great woods weapon IMO.

one i sold off to bc
