steel case savers?

does anyone know if there are any steel case savers available for the drz??

I saw some steel ones from procycle on a dr650 and they are beefy compared to the TT aluminum ones I have.

I haven't seen steel but there's a thread just a few pages back about some carbon fiber ones that look really good. I haven't ever seen a thread by someone who punctured their cases with the TT aluminum case savers on.

seen the side wing on a alum drz pan punch and crack the water pump without too much of a hit at all.. just sayin

yeah I could see that i used to have a mooose plate, take a look at a tonns plate much beefier

The TT case savers work mint. i would think steel would retain more heat whereas aluminum doesnt have the same thermal properties as steel

iv low sided both sides. the shifter broke off and put a dent in the tt case saver. same for the brake lever. im sure if i didnt have the case savers my cases would be jb welded a couple times

It would be easy to trace your case saver and have it cut out in any size metal you please, just saying!

coal shovel.....?
