pilot jet

Recommended Posts

anybody here running a 45 pilot in thier 250?I currently have a 48 in mine but it still seems rich.It needs the air screw almost 3 turns out and I have a bad sputter at very low throttle.I tried dropping the needle but lost some power in the mid range so I'm thinking of dropping the pilot another size. She rips from mid to high so don't want to touch the main(160).

I have 45/158 in my 2000. It feels pretty good. My air screw is about 1 3/4 turns out.

Not sure if this helps, but I am running a 42, but I am also at 7000 ft elevation. I probably even have to go down to 40 (it's still rich).
