09 300exc siezed starter motor bearing

did a strip down of my starter motor as its not engaging ...... all gears good as have lubed and serviced before...motor itself has failed the needle bearing has been water affected and rusted the seal of the estart motor failed.

What I need to know has anyone found a replacement bearing and a seal for that motor.

after my cleanup I got it working but I want it as good as new

Give this guys a call, he has the bearings and the seals. He lists them as used, but they certainly don't look "used". Do yourself a favor and do the wet mod on that area, it will save you future headaches.

cheers for that but I dont see how the wet mod protects the inside of the starter motor

I keeps moisture out of that area with the plugging of the weep hole and the venting out the top of the case. Mine seized up on me when I stored it for the winter from 2009-2010. This last winter, after putting 1900 miles on it, I washed it and stored it from November to March. She cranked right over without any issue this time and keeps on starting.
