Just purchased the last NEW XR 400 in US.

Recommended Posts

I was lucky enough to happen upon what's believed to be the last NEW....yes, new unserviced XR400 in the US. It's an 04 from Honda of Tupelo in Tupelo, MS. I'll throw a pic up soon.

Here's my NOS 2002 XR400 I bought last month. Other than an hour or two, she's Brand Spanking New!

I've now got her plated and uncorked, skidplate, Renthals, etc, etc.

Cheers,

If you don't mind me asking, how are you guys running across these NOS bikes? I've often thought it would be nice to have another new XR650R and I'm sure there are some out there hoarded away still in the crate. Were the bikes actually advertised or did you just get on the horn and start calling dealers?

jdubb75,

I found mine by luck....right place at right time. I was at Brookhaven Honda picking up something and chatting about the old XRs with the sales manager when he told me he knew about an 04 XR400 at a dealer upstate. I was skeptical but called....sure enough...Honda of Tupelo had a new XR4. I struck a deal on the phone and rest is history.

I just jizzed in my pants. Stop posting bikes like that. It's like porn for me.:ride:

I was over on Husqvarna post. A guy had a TE250 with a drop valve. He was forking out something like 3500.00 for a rebuild. Yeah cost of the bike.

You found gold bro! I had to make my CRF230 what I need her to be. I did CRF150r forks, works suspension, and power up kit. When you hear stories like those of the TE, it make you wonder why we buy CRF250x.

I want a new XR too! You lucky Bastard:thumbsup:
