fuel mixture screw removal. ktm 400sx

I'm putting in an adjustable fuel screw, but Im having trouble getting the stock screw out. It's unscrewed all the way but I can't get it to come out. I tried my Klein slotted, self tightening driver, and tapping on the carb with no luck. Any tips?

If the screw is fully unscrewed and can wiggle it somewhat, use needle nose pliers if you can to pull it out. Otherwise, you have to drop the float bowl.
