Buying Advice - 2001 TE410

Recommended Posts

Hello All

I'm Lee, 23 from the UK. I'm a newbie to Huskies, so looking for a bit of buyers advice.

Going to view a 2001 TE410 tomorrow night, it is road registered with all documents. What things should I look for that are Husqvarna related? I've bought alot of bikes so I know the usual bike stuff.

Thanks :smirk:

Hi Lee,

left kick - or e-start..??

I've had both , chassis are almost identical + VERY sturdy

Apart from normal issues,

check for cam-chain - top end noises ,

LARGE rebuild costs,

starting issues,

Carbs need to be set-up properly,

if the owner can't start it, then its probably bad news,

E-start needs a GOOD battery,

can have issues with the starter clutch.. usual " big - single" issue.

In general the Huskies are sound bikes,

parts last BUT are expensive to replace..good quality costs..!!

How much ££ $$ ?? ,

Charlie

Thanks for the reply. I bought it last Thursday..

Its a TE410e with leccy start, starts, run and rides fine! All electrics are spot on..

Plastics are a little tatty but thats the only thing.

Its done 5100km's about 3000 miles I guess and its on a 2001 plate. Came with all books and loads of history.

I paid £1000 with full MOT and Tax. :ride:
