Pirelli Scorpion XC or Dunlop D606

I am making my 2006 WR 250 street legal here in Colorado and I have been told that they are definitely checking to see if you have DOT tires. So I have talked to a few people and it seems like there are 2 tires that they are recommending. The Pirelli Scorpion XC or the Dunlop D606. Anyone have any experience with either or both of these tires?

I am riding 95% off road, they just need to be street legal for the mile or so to the trailhead.

I used the scorpion last year and it chunks pretty quickly in the rocks. Take a closer look at the Dunlop that may hold up better.

Someone told me that they think running the Scorpion Pro on the front and the Scorpion XCMH on the back was the best combo for mostly offroad riding.

the dunlops just last longer in all conditions, hold up well in hard pack and still gets decent traction in sand

Tho I now run a MT43 on the rear and love it.. It's not DOT but it looks like it would be LOL

But the Scorpion Pro on the front is the set-up for everything.. I run 12psi and it eats up the really rocky stuff and works real well in sand and deep sand...
