Idaho Carls cycle

Recommended Posts

I was in Boise today and went into Carls, I was very surprised to see the Orange bikes. Does anyone know what happened?

I went in the KTM shop (by the Edwards) a few times and the people seemed to be fine, but the store was less than great IMO. I must admit, I was happy to see the change. Any thoughts from you Boise area guys?

Bob Bosserman (KTM Motosports), is done selling , he gave up the KTM franchise , I think its because of finances for Willie's rehab (for those that do not know , Willie , his son *and a friend of mine* , was paralyzed in a dirtbike accident * he broke his neck the same month i broke mine*, and need's extensive rehab and care for the rest of his life), , from what i understand Bob is still going to sell parts of some sort i guess , but no more dealership , all his inventory went to Carl's , and Edge in Ontario , Oregon , kinda sucks , but i guess he didn't have a choice , and family comes first........

Thant does indeed suck. I had no idea about the accident and wish only the best for the Bosserman family.

I heard that KTM only moved the Offroad and Moto bikes to Carls and that Motosport will still be selling the road legal bikes, accessories, and providing services. Either way hopefully they can to take a step back and figure out what they need to do to make their business competitive in this market and todays economy.....

Yeah back in fall of '08. Reported to be a very minor tip-over type accident that went really bad. They held a poker run ('Hair of the Dog') 1 January '09 at Little Gem to help raise money, THAT was a muddy mess :ride:

That would make sense if he was looking to scale back the business some. He had so much 'new, old stock' of dirtbikes he was going to have to do something. Who would want to buy a brand new 2007 bike in 2011?

Carl's has the road legal 690 Duke on the floor which was formerly at Bosserman's. Between Carl's, Let's Ride and other shops, SW Idaho has some serious orange options.

Hi, all. DRZ-400S rider from Kodiak, AK here. I'll have a week to burn next week and just purchased ferry tickets to/from Homer so I can do a solo trip on the mainland. I know it's a little late in the season, but does anyone have any suggestions for places I can go?
Some places I've looked at:  East End Road (Homer), Crown Point Mine Trail (Kenai Peninsula), Hatcher Pass, McCarthy/Kennicott Mine, Chicken, Denali Hwy, etc.
I know it's a little late in the season, so some of these areas may not work (McCarthy/Kennicott comes to mind).  It will be my first time riding a motorcycle on mainland Alaska since 1999-2000.  Any suggestions/advice are greatly appreciated!

Anyone know of any good shops that offer vapor blasting or water blasting or vapor honing. It's all the same thing just different names.
Looking to have some aluminum street bike frames done so need a place that can handle larger pieces.
Some where close to Seattle east side Tacoma that you might recommend.
I found the motoshed in queen Anne but they can't do larger items.
