YZ 125 VS CRF 450r

Hi, im thinking about getting a yz 125 for riding. my dad has a crf 450 r (2004) and ive seen the size of his bike. I woud like to know the size difference between the average yz 125 vs the 2004 crf 450r.

size wise as they said, pretty close. BUT, these bikes have little else in common. Very different bikes.. 2 wheels, a seat and handle bars .. yes, but that is about the extent of the similarities!

I was under the impression that the average 450 makes about 50 hp, and a 125 makes hp in the low 30's.

They may share the same physical demensions, but boy do they feel different when your on them. The 125 will feel about 100 times more nimble and balenced, esspecailly if it's an older 450.

Cool Thx i wasn't hoping to hear that but anyways im about 5'5 give or take an inch and about 130 pounds. do u think a 125 will be too much? I currently ride a ttr 125 btw

Try borrowing a friends, or ride your dads to get a taste of the weight. After riding your dads, a 2st 125 will feel like a feather. It could be a bit much coming from a ttr125. Depends how confident you feel on your 125. What kind of riding do you do?

EDIT: I got a KX125, coming off of a CRF150F, and traded it for my 105sx. I wasn't physically tall, or strong enough. I really like the 105's weight and power. You'd be surprised how much power racing 2 strokes have!

Buttt the 450 makes much more torque as well that has to be accounted for

im not sure what other options you would have if you are talking about moving up besides a 105 or something. A 125 is a big leap but you would be able to grow into it instead of buying a 105 and growing out of it in a year or so. You could look at a 250f or something but a 125 is a great bike to move up to.

u will be fine i went from a little klx 110 pitbike to a kx 125 and i haven't had a problem yet BTW im 5'5 and 135 but i been riding quads since i was 3
