2008 xcf-w 2nd gear

I am currently running 13-50 sprockets; i ride mostly fairly tight single track here in northern PA and NY. I feel I could use a little more snap coming out of corners in second gear. What would you recommend?

Did you try 52 also?

Yes, 52 is stock. I found 3rd was too low and 4th was too high with that gearing. I think the 51 is just right. I know guys that liked the 50T, but I didn't because it didn't seem to pull it well.

I just ordered a 52 rear so will see what that feels like. I thought that 50 was stock on this bike... Will give an update when get to ride it.

I have heard that anything less than 13 damages your chain and should not be used. Just saying what I was told.

Won't hurt the chain but will wear out the chain slider quicker.

Installed a 52 tooth rear with 13 front. What a difference from 50 tooth! The bike is perfect for north east enduros! I just rode Rattlesnake National yesterday and was loving it!
