Fuel pouring out of carby?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I’ve got a problem with my Kehein PWK carby (in my 2009 250SX)

I took it out of the bike and put in a new pilot jet, new main jet and different needle clip position. Then I reset the float height and left it sitting dry on the bench for 2 weeks. I’ve put it in the bike and now fuel just pours out the overflows.

This is where the float height is set to:

I reconnected the fuel line and turned the fuel on. When the float is pushed up no fuel leaks, and it moves freely so I don’t think it’s the float.

When the carb is assembled and the fuel is turned on it instantly starts pouring out one of the hoses, then after about 2-3 seconds fuel starts coming out of all of them.

How do I fix this? Any ideas?

Mike.

sounds like your float was just stuck, should it happen again, tap on the bowl with the plastic handle of a screwdriver (never anything metal) to free it up.
