Those large gauze bandages work for my buddy. He would get so bad he'd have to stop riding and change shirts

I just let mine chafe, makes them tougher.

Small square piece of electrical tape works for me... I was skeptical at first but, it works well.

Nipple scabs ain't no fun. Tape sweats off. I switched from cotton to under armor. Much better.

I used to always wear a t-shirt under my jersey, now I have underarmor knockoffs in long and short sleeve, Walmart carries them for less than 1/2 the price of UA.

I wish it was a joke! I had it happen once while sweating profusely, and it hurts! later, it happened to a guy in a large group I was rIding with, and he put bandages in a crisscross pattern over each nip. I now know what to do next time ?

It's a real thing...

Marathon runners get it all the time (Google it ahahah). I've never gotten it on a bike but it's totally plausible. It's just caused by the fabric of your jersey rubbing against your chest.
