tires cause and effect.

im wondering what handeling/performance difference it makes going from a tire such as a 110/80-19 then going to a 100/80-19 and so on. reasoning??

absolutely nothing what so ever. i bought a 100/80 and it is only 4mm wider than the 100/90. however, a 110/90 is a lot bigger and should not be run on a 250f/125.

If you are experiencing too much wheel spin, a wider tire will help. The wider tire will change the profile of the contact patch and will generally slow down the turn in of the bike.

100/80 vs 100/90 should be the same width if comparing same brand tire.

100/80 18

100= width of tire in MM

80= height of sidewall measured by % of width

18= size of rim in inches
