IMS 4.0 gallon tank for 08 crf450r

Hi Folks, I am turning to you for some advice and guidance. I live and ride in a rural part of Canada and enjoy going on longer trail rides. My buddies have bigger tanks and can go lots further than I can. I have been looking at the 4 gallon IMS tank and wondered if there were any warnings or suggestions before I went out and bought the tank. Thanks in advance.

there is a guy on here that just posted a 2.9gal aceribis tank for $90 for an 08.. that is a good deal! I just got one for $200 the week before for my 08 or i would have bought it. Stock is 1.8gal on an 08 if not mistaken, 2.9 gets me 2 hrs of racing off road with 1/2 gal or more to spare. 4 gal is a big friggin tank though!

Thanks Bro. Yeah we are sometimes gone for half a day or more in the woods. Maybe I need to whoa down and evaluate this?

u could ride 2 mexico on 4 gal!kidding,i have a 3.1 ims & its definantly noticeable when full.not sure i would go bigger.but thats just me gettin old &fat.

I hear what you are saying and truly appreciate your thought. I am not getting younger either. Looking at an IMS 3.3. That might be a better move. Where to buy? IMS worthy product. You guys are a wonderful sounding board. Thanks
