That Didn't Work As Planned...

Recommended Posts

Put a 48 tooth sprocket on the KDX (1 bigger than stock), and to get the right chain slack measurement with a 108 link chain, the wheel was almost all the way forward (2 on the snail adjuster). Close enough that a tall profile trials tire may be rubbing on the mud flap. So, I figure a 110 link chain would move the wheel back some and give me room for the trials tire and maybe help keep the front end down a little more.

Well, it moved the wheel back some alright. Now it's at the very back of the adjuster range. Slack is correct, but if the chain stretches any, I'm going to have to take couple out, which will put me back where I started from.:smashpc:

I am reminded of the theory about even the best laid plans running amuck..👍

Yeah, i blow through mud flaps running a trials tire. 13/49 with a 110. Starts out round 2 1/2 or 3 on the adjuster (snail adjusters rock!), and rubs the flap.
