05 YZ250 Lower Fork tube Needed

Recommended Posts

I got carried away trying to drill out a stripped fork/axle bolt.

Does anyone have the non-caliper lower fork tube they want to sell?

Just the shiny part and the clamp part that connects to the axle.

Thanks -

Have you considered a heli-coil thread insert.

Also, you can remove the axle lug from the tube and replace just the lug. Yamaha probably doesn't sell it separately but check with the suspension shops as they frequently do this for scratched tubes and such.

Thanks ... After the panic wore off I settled down and thought things through. A new OEM inner tube is $300 so I got a guage on a néw replacement. Bought a whole set of 05 yz250f forks for $70 off EBay and then this morning bought a set off an 06 yz250f for $350 free shipping....guess I'll fix the 05 set and sell them.

sheesh...I would've drilled it out and taped it to the next size bolt....cost about a buck....

250f forks are 6mm shorter them 250 forks. remember that when you set you fork height in your clamps. You need new clamps also because the spacng of the clamps changed from 05-06 or you would need to make custom spacers to still use the 05 clamps with the 06 forks.
