Ill start with sayin im new to forum,i just acquired my first 4 stroke 02 crf450r first day out this thing is a beast the hot start lever seemed to raise the idle if pulled, just checkin its function. After couple hour ride if u pulled the hot start it would stall bike, just curious what why this would happen seems a little opposite to me

Perfectly normal. Hot start leans the fuel air mix. A slightly lean engine will run faster then possibly stall. Ever run out of gas? Just before it dies, it revs up. Purpose of the hot start is if the bike is hot, it can cause fuel to bubble up into the carb during a stall, making the bike excessively rich. So you use the hot start to lean it out a little.
