jetting for rad valve and pc pipe 2005 cr250

Recommended Posts

adding a rad valve and pc pipe to my cr250 with a keihin 36mm. What is the common trend for jetting adjustment when adding these items?

Have heard to get the full benefit of the rad valve, I will need a re-jet.

I ran 2 steps leaner main jet and 1 step leaner PJ when swapping to the radvalve. YMMV.

Not sure about the 36 but I ran a 42 pilot and a 168 main on my pwk38 with a rad valve.

sounds consistant with what others are saying here. I think I was running 45 pilot with a 172 or 175 main when I had the 38mm keihin on it.

Basicly about 1 size lower on pilot and 2-3 sizes lower on the main.

Any jetting characteristics with switching to the PC pipe?

I had to jet leaner for the rad valve, but never felt changing a pipe made much of a difference in jetting on my 02 cr250. I've run stock, fmf, and pro circut and none of them really required jetting changes. Besides, changes in temp and weather effected the jetting more.
