broken fork guard mount on fork lug

any way to fix this? the hole snapped and now i cant get a bolt to stay in there so my fork guard keeps flying off and getting shredded to shit. anybody know a clever way to fix it?

i tighten the bolt and the hole just expands till it skips threads and remains loose again:foul:

You might be able to get by with jbweld and loctite. The way to fix it properly would be to take it to boat propeller shop (or someplace else that does a lot of aluminum repair). Those guys are good, and they could fix something like that really easily. After the weld, you will have to run a tap through it, or maybe put in a helicoil.

i was thinking maybe clamp the 2 together and do a tack on it might work?
