California anyone doing the metcalf hare scramble next weekend?

i plan on doin the race next sunday at metcalf and this is my 1st time riding there. any tips or advice from people who have done this race before? how long are the laps and what kind of start is it?

anyone else racing sunday? thanks

Every time I've done it conditions have been dusty. This year should be

awesome with the rain we are going to get.

Show up at least 2 hours before. Wear a camel back. Plan on refueling if you

don't have an over sized tank. The laps should be between 6-12 miles. The

start will be dead engine.

Just have fun for your first time. Don't expect anything more and you'll be hooked!

thanks... its not my 1st race, just 1st one at metcalf. its only a 1.5 hour race, so i dont see why anyone would need to re-fuel.
