2006 Honda CRF250x - green film....?

Recommended Posts

My mechanic just opened up my motor because it would stall whenever I pull the throttle. We thought it was the jet but he says that the carb and cylinder wall had a green film. He says it might be due to moisture buildup during extended periods of without use.... Anyone have any ideas or thoughts? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

ive seen gummed up carbs with green crud all over the place. its probably just normal build up from sitting. did you get it running again?

It runs but after a while it starts to sputter and then stall when I really get on it. We thought it was a clogged jet but the jet looks clean... I'm stumped.

have u replaced the plug and air filter? are you sure you cleaned the carb thoroughly and properly? did you put the fuel/air screw(s) back into the right settings?

I did all of that but I may have not properly adjusted the fuel/ air screw(s). Thanks for the help - I'll give it a shot.
