Yamaha RX-Z 135 questions...

Hello! I have recently brought my first bike a 1995 Yamaha RX-Z 135 2 stroke. The oil light comes on when I turn the bike on, and also when its in neutral it comes on. When in gear it goes off. Is this something to be concerned about? I changed the tranny oil the other day and also topped up bike oil with 2T. Oil light still comes on.

Also I turn the master fuel switch off at night to stop it leaking fuel. In the morning its a pain to start, normally about 6 kicks to get is started from cold. I give it full choke, work the throttle etc. Any advise on the above much appreciated!
