A fun question - 12 XC-W or wait for 2012 EXC?

soooooo.......

question of questions..but a fun one and not one like which oil, or...

2012 500cc Pumpkins

Get the XC-W and add the street legal bits for a plate

or

Wait and just get the EXC later this fall?

changes to the XC-W?

  • Turn signals
  • Headlight
  • switchgear (including hi low beam, turn signals etc)
  • Keyed switch
  • License plate holder/bracket
  • Brake switches for front and rear
  • Horn

List of Changes to EXC?

  • Smog junk in a box
  • Gearing for dirt

For both (why I dont list em)

Motors and Transmissions are IDENTICAL

have the hand guards

will need a skid plate

Need PB springs front and rear (Phatt Butt)

Favorite Bars

Favorite Tires

Tubliss system front and rear

EXC is peeking out ahead

timing isnt critical, I aint in a hurry, can wait for the EXC

what am I missing?

just got the 350 exc-f and raced it. awesome machine and we need real street legal now in jersey, as our DMV is hit or miss, mostly miss, and who wants to take a chance with a big bucks new machine. i just did a little write up on the '350 exc' thread.

Couldn't wait so got the xcf-w. Here in CO, we should be able to plate with brake light, rear reflectors, mirrors, dual sport tires, and electric horn. Thought it would be less expensive with lower MSRP and to add the above than to re-gear both sprockets, maybe a new chain. rider
