Wiseco pro-lite and Sleeved Cylinder

Recommended Posts

Any negatives to using a forged pro-lite in a sleeved cylinder? the bike is an 01 KX250. The owner wants to use a wiseco pro-lite but isnt sure if he is willing to pay the money to have it replated or take the cheaper way out and sleeve it.

According to wiseco's site it says the pro-lite is to suit an electrofusion bore, does this mean it wont suit a sleeved cylinder? any helpful advice appreciated!

Cheers.

It will work fine in a sleeve.

That still doesn't mean he should sleeve it. Plating is better in every way, including life span.

Yeah i agree with ya, its just here in aus replating isnt cheap so the owner was trying to take the cheaper sleeving option but after more talking he has finally come around to the idea of having it replated. :smashpc:
