Seized compression screw in fork, need help

Recommended Posts

The compression screw in the base of the conventional fork on my friends DRZ 400E was seized and in attempt to get it to turn, we stripped the head out. 👍

Pulled the fork and disassembled it to get the compression bolt out, now need some help for the best way to replace the damaged screw. Can the screw be removed from the bolt?

Any help appreciated.
