2002 CR250r carb problem

Recommended Posts

Just took out my new/old 2 smoker and after I got her singing she ran great. When i stopped, the carb kept flowing (out the drain tubes) and was flooded. Could not kick start, a huge pain in tha A. Float? Needle?

Probly the float-valve has some debris, preventing it from sealing up, or it could have gotten hard over time.

Float should not be hung unless u have sand/debris in the float bowl.

Mine did this same thing last time i rode but to a very minor extent. Did not effect how it ran. Took it apart today and i looks like the o-ring around the needle seat is hardened and leaking a little. cleaned it all up after massaging the o-ring and it seals for now. Going to replace it as soon as i get a new one.

Yeah it ran great, but just poured gas out the tubes unless i shut off the gas. I was thinking it was a fried o-ring as well.
