cam wear

I instaleld the kibblewhite valve kit to replace my 09crf250r stock valves. I road the bike for about 4 hours trail riding then road about 1/4 mile down the road 5th gear abought 1/2 to 3/4 throttle when the bike just quit with no chatter nouse or nothing. Went back to camp pulled off valve cover and cam lobes seemed to be wiped out on the intake lobes any idea what could make this happen??

No oil or the lifter bucket broke. It's very unusal to wipe out a cam.

thanks for the help.A few people have told me to check my buckets. Going to braek the motor down tonight
