XR100R Stock Sprocket Tooth Count?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what the stock sprocket tooth count would be for the front and rear sprocket of a 2002 XR100R? Also if i kept the front sprocket stock, do I raise or lower the rear sprocket 2 teeth for added torque?

HERE you go...

For more low-end pull, you can go down one tooth on the front sprocket, it is the same as going up two teeth on the rear sprocket.

13/50 - 3.84 to 1

14/52 - 4.00 to 1

Easier to change the front sprocket, BTW...

Ok so according to that JT sprocket link you posted, stock front sprocket is 14 tooth and rear is 50 tooth? Just really want to make sure of that. And say if I want to keep the stock sized front and rear sprockets, what size chain should I run? I want to run the Renthal R1 428 chain, but how many links do i need for the stock set up? Web sites list 120,130, and 140 links for that specific chain.

That's correct, the stock gearing is 14/50 and it takes 118 links, so a 120 link chain will work for you.
