02 cr250 suspension set-up

hello...looking for a bit of input on how i should set the suspension to be able to ride in the woods,trails fire roads etc.it appears to be way to stiff and i'm not sure where to start.i'm hoping i can make it better w/o having to send out the forks and shock.i'm not super aggressive but i'd like to be able to stay on it.i weigh 165 and i'm 5'6".i was told the suspension settings are as it came from the factory. thank you!

For trails I back all my clickers completely out and its still fairly stiff. Not bouncing off rocks and roots though. Its been revalved for mx but I'd imagine its not that different than stock. The faster you ride it, the better it goes.

It will always be way to stiff for trail riding unless you re-spring and re-valve both ends.

The cheaper way is to just put forks (and front caliper) and shock off a CRF250X on it. Buy used off ebay and sell your old stuff there. I did it and am very happy with results and price (I'm 5'6"", 150 lb)
